All Hail King James, American Hero

Even though his team is currently down 3-0 to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, LeBron James can still dunk on Donald Trump.

After news came out on Tuesday that His Orangeness, Donald of House Trump, Pussy Grabber-in-Chief, Protector of Aggrieved Whites and Lord of the Fifty States, Insular Areas and District of Columbia, the Unbald, continued his war on Black professional athletes by uninviting the Philadelphia Eagles from the White House once it was confirmed less than ten members of the squad planned to attend the scheduled Super Bowl championship celebration, blaming supposed lack of patriotism (even though no members of the team participated in the kneeling protests), James was asked for his thoughts on this situation. He confirmed no 2018 NBA championship team was going to visit the White House and kiss Trump’s ring by saying, â??I know no matter who wins this series, no one wants an invite anyway.”

James has frequently criticized Trump in the past, including saying Trump did not “give a fuck about the people” and was lacking in leadership capacity in an ESPN documentary miniseries, which prompted Fox “News” host Laura Ingraham to infamously state James was running his mouth and that he should “shut up and dribble.

In 2017, James called Trump a “bum” in an epic burn after Trump uninvited the NBA champion Golden State Warriors from a White House celebration.

He has also characterized Trump’s statements and policies as divisive, both with regard to the Muslim travel ban and Trump’s call for the NFL to fire protesting players.

Travel ban: â??I am not in favor of this policy or any policy that divides and excludes people.â?

NFL protests: Trump “used the sports platform to try to divide us. Sport and sports is so … amazing â?? what sports can do for everyone, no matter the shape, or size, or race, or ethnicity, or religion or whatever…And it brings people together like none other.â?

He further stated, “Iâ??m not going to let â?? while I have this platform â?? to let one individual, no matter the power, no matter the impact that he should have or she should have, ever use sport as a platform to divide us.” Even better, James refused to refer to Trump by name during the interview, instead calling him “that guy.” James also confirmed he has zero regrets about calling Trump a “bum.”

James has long been one of North America’s biggest sports villains. However, his strong and consistent criticism of President Trump makes him a hero in my book. All hail King James!

James’s Cleveland Cavaliers face the Golden State Warriors at home in Game 4 of the NBA Finals set to tip off on Friday at 9:00 PM ET (Tickets – SeatGeek).
