Division Series Day 3: Atlanta and Los Angeles Even Series

On Day 3 of Division Series action, the spotlight was on the National League teams alone with the American League clubs on a travel day. First up was Game 2 between Atlanta and Milwaukee, followed by Los Angeles and San Francisco. Would Friday’s losers even the series?

Braves 3, Brewers 0

Series tied 1-1

This game was another low-scoring affair at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Fried outdueled Brewers counterpart Woodruff, posting six scoreless innings and striking out 9 Brewers batters. All three Atlanta runs were charged to Woodruff.

Dodgers 9, Giants 2

This game was tight until the 6th inning, when the Dodgers erupted for four runs on doubles by Cody Bellinger and AJ Polllock.

Sunday will be a travel day for the National League teams. The American League teams will resume starting with Game 3 between the Rays and Red Sox at Fenway Park at 4:07 PM ET. The series is tied at 1-1. Drew Rasmussen (0-1, 4.24 ERA) will face Wild Card Game winner Nathan Eovaldi (11-9, 3.75 ERA).

Game 3 between the Astros and White Sox in Chicago will start at 8:07 PM ET. The White Sox are facing elimination down 2-0 with Dylan Cease (13-7,3.91 ERA) on the mound against Luis Garcia (11-8, 3.30 ERA).
