Jake Cronenworth added an insurance run with a solo shot in the 8th inning.
In the bottom of the 8th, fans everywhere were entranced by the appearance of a goose on the field.

The Padres pen continued to lock down the LA bats, hanging on to the lead to even the series at one game apiece.
Josh Hader became the first Padres player to record a postseason save of more than one inning since Goose Gossage in the 1984 NLCS.
Fitting.
