Division Series Day 3 Wrap-Up

Yordan Alvarez bats for the Houston Astros on September 21, 2019 against the Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

American League action was set to resume today from Day 1 on Tuesday, but the Guardians at Yankees game was postponed due to inclement weather. This means a full weekend of baseball if the series goes as far as four games.

Seattle answered Kyle Tucker’s 2nd inning home run with a go-ahead two-run rally in the 4th inning. Yordan Alvarez continues to be on a roll. He went yard on a 98 mph sinker delivery from Castillo in the 6th inning to give the Astros an advantage they would not relinquish.

The delay in New York is good news for day baseball fans. We will have a full slate of games on Friday, starting with the Guardians and Yankees at 1:07 PM ET. Philadelphia will host Atlanta for the middle game at 4:37 PM ET. The West Coast game, Los Angles at San Diego, will again be the nightcap at 8:37 PM ET.
