San Diego 5, Los Angeles 3

Series tied 1-1

WP: Yu Darvish

This game started in see-saw fashion. The home team countered every blow landed by the visitors until Jurickson Profar singled to drive in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning.

Jake Cronenworth added an insurance run with a solo shot in the 8th inning.

In the bottom of the 8th, fans everywhere were entranced by the appearance of a goose on the field.

The Padres pen continued to lock down the LA bats, hanging on to the lead to even the series at one game apiece.
