Houston Astros hostedthe Boston Red Sox for the first game of the American League Championship Series to start the weekend’s matchups. After Houston took a 1st inning lead, Boston jumped back out in front with a three-run 3rd inning led off by Kiké Hernández‘s solo blast to center field.

José Altuve tied the game with a two-run homer in the 6th inning.

Carlos Correa put Houston ahead with a solo home run in the 7th inning pimped mightily for the fans at Minute Maid Park.

The Astros added a necessary insurance run in the 8th inning with Altuve’s sacrifice fly.

In the 9th inning, Hernández made things interesting by launching his second home run of the night to left field, but Pressly and the home team hung on to take the first game of the series.
